Outback Adventure Treks endeavors to offer high-quality, exciting, and adventure-filled itineraries that highlight and focus on the diversity of landscapes found in Australia. As a specialised “niche” motorcycle tour operator since 2003, we provide the most authentic, unique and exciting off-road adventures in Australia.

The Outback Adventure Treks family began back in the mid 1990s, when Magnus Eriksson was creating, operating and leading ground breaking motorcycle adventure tours throughout inland Australia and crossing the vast deserts and jungles found on this incredible continent. These tours were ad hoc and started with just a 4wd ute and riding your own bikes.

In 2003 Magnus decided to concentrate on what he loved doing the most and he established Outback Adventure Treks as a specialist motorcycle tour operator in the region he knew best – Inland Australia. The “niche” was to promote motorbike group tours directly to clients all around the world via the internet. Magnus set the standard for all subsequent Outback Adventure Treks tours by offering a high quality tour – from customer service, to motorbikes, to well researched routes to the guides we use – at a good value.

Our well-planned eye-opening motorcycle tours provide an active immersion into outback Australia, scenery and, of course, the most delicious of foods. By combining legendary service and rare opportunities for cultural experiences, our travel philosophy continues to excite, enthuse, and positively impact every guest. In 2011 Outback Adventure Treks expanded its range of tours by introducing India and the Himalayas as a new destination. In 2013 OAT will also have tours in Indonesia and South America.
