| Description | The Dakar Rallye is the single most extraordinary race of its
kind. The race started in 1979 as a race from Paris to Dakar.
In 2009 the race was moved to South America. Due to the enormous success if the race in its new location it will again be run in South America in 2011. We will follow this 9000km extreme rallye from the start in Buenos Aires Argentina right across the snow-capped Andes Mountains into Chille then north and back to the finish in Buenos Aires. We will ride through deserts, alongside active volcanos and experience some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. Our accommodation will be a mixture of camping and hotels. This is a fully inclusive tour with all accommodation, meals, airfares and bike hire included. Our departure point for this adventure begins in Sydney with a group dinner then the next day we board our Qantas flight for our adventure of a lifetime, returning 26 days later with stories and memories that will last a lifetime. WARNING: This is not a normal motorcycle ride. This tour requires elements of endurance and stamina. Riders must be able to ride in adverse weather conditions and adverse road conditions. These roads are some of the roughest and most remote in the world. Riders should be physically fit, mentally strong and able to cope with adversity. |
